Introduction
Staying consistent when starting your blog is the most important part of your journey. If you can’t be consistent, how will you ever find success?
This is probably the most IMPORTANT aspect of blogging because countless people with amazing ideas never find success simply because they couldn’t stay consistent—or worse, they never even started!
So, listen up (or should I say, read up), because this blog is intended for people willing to actually put in the work to see success. If that’s not you, I’ll kindly advise you to click off.
Also, if you’re not serious, please don’t click on ANY of my affiliate links. I don’t want you wasting money on anything you’re not going to use. *Just looking out for you ;)
What’s Your WHY?
First things first: What’s your WHY? Having a vision for your blog is crucial. Ask yourself questions like:
Where do you see your blog five years from now?
How much money do you want to make from your blog?
How much money do you need to make from your blog to quit your job and finally tell your boss to keep his "motivational" Monday meetings?
These questions are pivotal in discovering your WHY. To be completely honest with you, without that initial boost of motivation, you’re probably not going to get started.
And trust me, when you hit that inevitable writer's block or when life decides to throw curveballs your way, having a strong WHY is what will keep you pushing through.
It's like your personal pep talk in those dark moments when you wonder,
"Why did I think blogging was a good idea again?"
Stay on Schedule
The second key to staying consistent with your blog is sticking to a schedule (and yes, this part requires the most amount of work).
Sticking to a schedule is literally the definition of being consistent.
You’ve got to come up with an actionable plan for your blog—a plan that you can maintain over the long haul.
If you say you’re going to post one blog a week and pin 12 times on Pinterest, THEN DO THAT.
If you commit to posting blogs on Mondays and Wednesdays, THEN STICK TO THAT. No “Oh, I’ll just do it tomorrow” nonsense—because tomorrow turns into next week, and next week turns into “What blog?” before you know it.
Pro tip: Use a content calendar. It’s like your blog’s personal trainer, except it won’t yell at you, but it will keep you accountable.

Set Production Milestones
For the first six months to a year, focus on setting production milestones rather than money milestones.
Why? Because most people won’t be rolling in the dough within the first six months to a year of blogging.
And let’s be real, if you’re only blogging for the money, you might as well buy a lottery ticket instead.
Setting production milestones keeps you motivated and on track. For instance, if your goal is to publish 26 blog posts in 26 weeks and you hit that goal, take a week off to celebrate your achievement (but not too long, okay?).
Go ahead, treat yourself to that fancy dinner you’ve been eyeing, or binge-watch your favorite series for a day.
If you keep putting in the work—or as I like to say, “if you keep putting in that motion”—the results will show.

Conclusion
Staying consistent with your blog is the secret sauce to success.
It’s not about having the fanciest website or the most mind-blowing ideas (though those help, too); it’s about showing up day after day, even when the inspiration isn’t flowing, and sticking to your plan.
Remember your WHY, follow your schedule like it's your new best friend, and focus on hitting those production milestones.
Consistency is what separates the dreamers from the doers, so if you’re serious about taking your blog to the next level, it’s time to buckle down and put in the work.
No excuses, no shortcuts—just good old-fashioned grit and determination.
And hey, if you’re feeling a little lost or need a boost, come back to this post, revisit your WHY, and remind yourself why you started this journey in the first place.
The road to success isn’t easy, but with consistency, it’s absolutely within your reach. Now, get out there and make it happen!
